Graham News 2004
January 6, 2004
We went to see Hayden today and they had a good time playing. Graham is now playing with his cars and having a good time.
I probably shouldn't say it, but I think that we have toilet training nailed. Graham finally decided that it was OK to poop in the toilet. Never under estimate the power of a good bribe. He gets a new car if he has gone poop in the toilet. He is now getting up and asking to go to the toilet after being put in bed. He wears Pull-Ups to bed now. We'll probably keep him in those for a while and then working on night time training. I don't think that that will be as frustrating as the other has been.

Graham has been naming his new stuffed toys. His bear's name is Happy. The kiwi is called Qua.

Kindy starts next week. Woo hoo. Actually it hasn't been too bad with Graham home all of the time, but I know that he misses kindy. Graham and Scott have been going to the beach to play. It is nice for me. Gives me some time at home by myself.

Graham just called me into his room. Some of his stuffed toys had fallen on the floor and he wanted me to pick them up. I asked him why he didn't get down and get them himself. Graham responded "I can't. My hands are too little." That has been his favorite excuse lately for not doing things.

Graham is really enjoying having Lori around. He is fascinated with her knitting and she has been building lots of train tracks. Learning checkers is on the list for later today.

Graham is learning about consequences. He didn't get his toys put away, so he lost his new computer game for a few days. I don't know that he actually understands yet, but we are working on it.

Graham's favorite cd lately is latest Bare Naked Ladies. I guess he hasn't developed bad taste in music yet. He keeps putting it on repeat, though, and we listen to the same song over and over again. It seems that he picks a song completely at random to repeat. Today it is Testing 1 2 3.

It must have been a big day for Graham. He asked to go to bed at 8. That doesn't happen very often. Scott and Graham went to the beach and the park while I was at karate. I think Scott must have worn him out. We also had an extra hour in there some place since the time changed today.

Graham is playing on the computer. He likes to do that a lot. Unfortunately he likes to play one of my games instead of his.

Graham had a great birthday. We invited over some of his friends from kindy. They played really well and didn't get too loud until after we filled them up with cake and ice cream.
Graham is handling the packing and selling quite well. His bed is gone and he has been sleeping on the floor. He didn't care when Louise took it away, but was a little upset when bedtime rolled around. When we were getting ready for the garage sale he kept bringing us his toys and telling us that we needed to sell them. We didn't manage to sell very many of them, but got rid of a few. The rest will go to the kindy.

Graham is enjoying his time at his grandparents. There is a little boy that lives just down the road that he likes to play with. There were 2 boxes waiting for Graham. He had a good time opening them. The first was from Grandma Carol and Grandpa Art. It was full of toys and clothes. The other package was from Lori. It was full of toys and his favorite cd. He has had a good time playing with all of his new toys. His old toys have finally arrived (well most of them) He hasn't done much with them at this point. Too many new ones to play with.

Graham met another cousin the other night. Well actually a second cousin. We went to my uncle's for a dip in the pool and dinner. Bridger is just a month older the Graham. They had a great time playing in the pool, jumping on the trampoline, and just running around. We'll have to go back for another visit.

Graham has been a busy boy lately. He went to the dentist and he has had his hair cut. He has also been up to the shop with grandpa to play in the sawdust. He is having a good time. He is registered for pre-school. He will only get to go for a few weeks though. We'll have to find a new one when we get to Texas.
